Come join us the weekend of 4 July for one of the most interesting cultural experiences in the Vallée d'Ossau.
The 'transhumance' is centuries old tradition where the sheep and cows make their way up the Pyrénées mountains to graze in higher pastures for the summer. And it's quite the scene as farmers lead their herds down the main valley road and through the village of Laruns where spectators line the streets as the parade of animals pass.
This weekend getaway is ideal for solo travellers or a small group of friends who are interested in an authentic French experience.
